چکیده

In this study, a surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate based on high-refractive-index reflective glass beads (HRGBs) was prepared by facile method and successfully applied to the detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The HRGB-SERS depositing silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) onto surface HRGBs. preparation procedure simplified accelerating hydrolysis (3-Aminopropyl) trimethoxysilane (APTMS) increasing concentration Ag NPs. Compared with previous methods, one round deposition has same performance, simpler process, lower cost. Additionally, halide ions were used modify increase sensitivity PAHs. Adding 10 mM KBr solution found achieve best modification effect. Under optimal conditions, pyrene improved 3 orders magnitude (10−7 M). Due substrate’s excellent rapid identification trace spiked water samples mixed anthracene, phenanthrene, realized using spectrometer only volume μL samples.

Humic acids-based one-step fabrication of SERS substrates for detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

A facile one-step approach to fabricate substrates for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) was explored by reduction of silver nitrate with humic acids (HAs). This simple process readily delivers silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) decorated with HAs (HAs-Ag NPs), and an average diameter of 50 nm. More importantly, it compares favorably to Ag ...

Biodegradation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Petroleum Contaminated Soils

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are a class of potentially hazardous chemicals of environmental and health concern. PAHs are one of the most prevalent groups of contaminants found in soil. Biodegradation of complex hydrocarbon usually requires the cooperation of more than single specie. In this research biotreatment of PAH (phenanthrene) was studied in a solid-phase reactor using indigenou...

Transport of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in a Calcareous Wetland Soil

Knowledge of transport and degradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is important in assessing PAH contamination of soils and water resources. The transport of naphthalene, anthracene, pyrene and phenanthrene was determined in a contaminated calcareous soil obtained from the Shadegan wetland (Khozestan, Iran) considering a column study in laboratory conditions. The PAHs were added ...

β-CD Dimer-immobilized Ag Assembly Embedded Silica Nanoparticles for Sensitive Detection of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons

We designed a β-CD dimer on silver nanoparticles embedded with silica nanoparticles (Ag@SiO2 NPs) structure to detect polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Silica NPs were utilized as a template for embedding silver NPs to create hot spot structures and enhance the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) signal, and a thioether-bridged dimeric β-CD was immobilized on Ag NPs to capture PAHs....

SERS detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons using a bare gold nanoparticles coupled film system.

A facile approach based on a bare gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) coupled film system as the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate was developed for the effective detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). A smooth gold film (Au film) was self-assembled with a hydrophobic layer of an alkyl chain in order to capture the PAHs molecules from bulk solution to its surface. Next, ...
